Hummingbird Banding at Casa de San Pedro B&B

Banding sessions take place from 4 to 6 p.m. on a weekly to biweekly schedule. Sessions are open to SABO members by reservation and to guests of Casa de San Pedro B&B. This activity is free, but registration is required and limited to 6 visitors per session. Donations are appreciated, and "adoptions" of banded birds may be available.

Capture rates and species diversity can vary dramatically through the season, but up to 30 hummingbirds of 7 species may be banded in a 2-hour session.
