Visit SABO's newest hummingbird study site, where we compare the nesting and migration schedules of hummingbirds in the Huachuca Mountains to those on the San Pedro River. Capture rates and species diversity can vary dramatically through the season, but up to 30 birds of 7 species may be banded in a 2-hour session.

This special Fiesta de las Aves banding session is free to SABO members, $5 per person for non-members, limited to 8 participants. "Adoptions" of banded birds support this research project; for more information on adopting a hummingbird, please visit the adoptions page.
