wehum.JPGWork on your hummingbird identification skills with Sheri Williamson, SABO naturalist and author of A Field Guide to Hummingbirds in the Peterson Field Guide Series, at Beatty's Guest Ranch, Arizona's number one hummingbird hot spot. Up to 12 species of hummingbirds may be present, offering opportunities to study fine differences in plumage, behavior, and voice under the guidance of an expert. Limited to 8 participants.

The field clinic takes place at the Controlled Access Site at Beatty's Miller Canyon Guest Ranch in the Huachuca Mountains south of Sierra Vista (click for interactive map). Some walking is required to reach the site, including up a short but steep section of trail.

$35 per person for members of SABO and/or guests of Beatty's Guest Ranch, $45 for non-members. Participation is limited, and reservations are highly recommended; prepaid registration is refundable only if unforeseen circumstances force SABO to cancel the walk.
