Hummingbird Banding Data
SABO's hummingbird banding studies monitor hummingbird
migration and breeding on the San Pedro Riparian National Conservation
Area (San Pedro House) and in the Huachuca Mountains (Carr Canyon).
Banding sessions are conducted weekly at each banding station from late
March through early June and late
June through early October. Location:
1 to 4
during hummingbird banding season (depending on whether data is entered
during or between banding sessions), less than 1 hour/month outside
- Transfer data for individual
birds (up to 50/week) from
paper sheets to master database during and/or between weekly
- Generate short weekly reports for SABO's Web site and
detailed quarterly reports for Bird Banding Laboratory.
